Fire Prevention and Inspections

The Assistant Fire Marshal at PDX tests and maintains the fire alarm system, fire sprinkler system, hydrant system, and insures that each area of PDX is in compliance with fire/life safety requirements. This section also provides fire prevention education to Port employees and tenants.

Fire Prevention and Inspection personnel in coordination with Portland Fire Bureau Fire Inspectors provide bi-annual fire inspections for all Port owned facilities through the Enhanced Inspection Program. Other fire inspections include quarterly inspections of aircraft refueling vehicles, fuel hydrants and fueling stations.
